Tournaments

Rules:

All matches are the best of 3 sets. A set is won by the first player/pair to win 6 games, so if the score is 5-5 whoever wins the next game wins the set.

Handicaps:

Each player/pair to start every game on their designated handicap. Don’t worry too much about serving from the wrong side at the start of a service game.
Trying to keep the correct score is more important!

Handicaps of SCR (love), +15, +30, +40 are straightforward.

Handicaps of-15, -30, -40 mean that you work back through to love, then continue as though a normal game.

Handicaps of +3/6 mean that the player/pair begins the odd games on love, and the even games on +15.
Handicaps of +15 3/6, mean that the player/pair begins the odd games on +15 and the even games on +30.
Handicaps of -3/6, mean that the player/pair begins the odd games on -15 and the even games on love.
Handicaps of -15 3/6, mean that the player/pair begins the odd games on -30, and the even games on -15.
Handicaps of -30 3/6 mean that the player/pair begins the odd games on -40 and the even games on -30.

First game is odd and so on.

Where a match has a + handicap against a – handicap, you must start on the given handicaps.

Where a match has a + handicap against a + handicap, reduce both handicaps equivalently so that the lower handicap is reduced to love.
(e.g +3/6 against +15, would become love against +3/6, both handicaps reduced by +3/6, then play the match according to the new handicap)

Where a match has a – handicap against a – handicap, again reduce both handicaps equivalently so that the lower handicap is reduced to love.
(e.g. -3/6 against -15 3/6, would become love against -15, both handicaps reduced by -3/6, then play the match according to the new handicap).
